Enhanced Absorption and Raman Scattering Signal in Cu2ZnSnS4 Film through Excitation of Surface Plasmon Polaritons

Article Preview

Abstract:

We deposited silver on the surface of Cu2ZnSnS4 (CZTS) thin films by vacuum evaporation and then annealed it under vacuum condition. The surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) is revealed by comparing Raman spectra of CZTS and CZTS-Ag films. The enhancement of the optical absorption is observed via investigating transmission spectrum. It is found that the CZTS-Ag film display a low transmittance, namely high absorption. Furthermore, X-ray diffraction and the optical band gap of samples show the pure CZTS phase with high crystal quality. The CZTS compound in CZTS-Ag films grow well and is not influenced by Ag nanoparticles.
