Abstract: The results of the study provide information on the resistance of coatings based on the solof silicate paint in the process of freezing and thawing. It was found, that coatings based on sol silicatepaints are characterized by a higher resistance compared of silicate coatings. It is shown, that thecoatings withstood 50 cycles of alternate freezing and thawing. The surface energy of the coatingswas calculated using the critical surface tension of the fluid at the interface with the solid. Thedispersion contribution in the intermolecular interaction between the particles of the coatings wasestimated. The values of the surface tension of the coatings and the values of the dispersioncomponent of the surface energy of the coatings — the complex Hamaker constant — are calculated. It was revealed, that after testing a decrease in the values of the Hamaker constant is observed. It wasestablished, that after testing for frost resistance, the values of the Hamaker constant for coatingsbased on sol of silicate paint are higher compared to coatings based on silicate paint.

Abstract: Present paper shows the possibility of obtaining complex planar integral sandwichconstructions for one technological transition The technology of obtaining integrated sandwichconstructions is described. The data of flexural strength tests of the samples obtained by the methodof VaRTM and hand lay-up molding are presented. It has been established that samples obtained bythe VaRTM method are 13% stronger. The obtained data are also confirmed by microscopicresearch. Fiberglass of integral sandwich constructions made by hand lay-up molding ischaracterized by significant porosity.

Abstract: In an oilfield factory, the blocking and jam in Chang 2 reservoir is very serious. In recentyears, according to analysizing different plugging mechanism and optimizing acidizing formula, theoptimal plugging removal technology was formed suitable for the solution for the Chang 2 reservoirof oilfield factory. This plugging removal formula increases the efficiency radius, and increases thedosage of additives to protect the pipe, rod and pump from the precipitation such as Ca2+and Mg2+,which causes new pollution. Reasonable multiple technologies were designed, and low displacementmethod was used in the injection process, aiming at the characteristics of Chang 2 reservoir. Thismethod extends the time of plugging removal fluid staying around the well bore, which can eliminateplugging near well bore area effectively, and improve the permeability. DQ-1 composite pluggingremoval and other kinds of plugging removal methods have been used more than 50 times, and theeffect is remarkable, which made a positive contribution to stable production of the oilfield.

Abstract: Methodological principles for the development of composite materials with the desiredstructure and properties are proposed. One of the perspective directions of development ofcomposite materials by their representation as multi-purpose systems with the corresponding systemattributes is considered. The structure of quality functional for objective assessment of quality ofkinetic processes of formation of physic-mechanical characteristics of a composite is developed. The technique of synthesis of construction material based on application of lines of equal level ofquality functional is offered.

Abstract: In order to improve the dispersion of SnO2 in Ag matrix, Ag/SnO2 contact materials wasprepared by optimized chemical deposition process. The micro-morphology and phase of theAg/SnO2 contact materials were tested by metallographic microscope and XRD. The results showedthat the combination of mechanical stirring and ultrasonic stirring can effectively improve thedispersion of SnO2 in Ag matrix, the Vickers hardness, conductivity and density of the Ag/SnO2contact materials with 88% Ag content are 114.4HV, 77.4% IACS and 9.75g/cm3 respectively. Theseprovide data reference for preparation of Ag/SnO2 contact materials with uniform SnO2 distributionin Ag matrix.

Abstract: In oil distribution process, especially in archipelago countries like Indonesia, jetty is anessential tool in loading and unloading oil from and to tanker. The main problem in jetty structurewith steel piling is its corrosion resistance. The deterioration of the jetty structure strength was causedby the piling depletion caused by corrosion. In this study, calculation and mechanical strength testingfor Glass Fiber Reinforced Polymer (GFRP) were conducted. The study was then applied toPertamina Tanjung Uban jetty to strengthen the piling, and increase in compression strength of up to63.38% was observed. The increase of compression strength from the application of GFRP however, doesn’t have a linear strengthening effect when applied for other applications.

Abstract: Coarse BOF sludge is a waste originating from steelmaking production. The major phaseof this waste is zinc ferrite. BOF sludge for this study was obtained from the metallurgical industryfrom a process of gas treatment in an oxygen converter. The sorption of cobalt, manganese and nickelions was investigated in the sample of the deposited sludge in a batch of experiments. The sorptionprocess was evaluated using three types of isotherm models. The sludge sample was alkaline andconsisted primarily of X-ray amorphous compounds and crystalline Fe oxides. The adsorptionprocess showed that a high removal efficiency was achieved at a lower initial concentration of metalions. Moreover, the equilibrium of the sorption process was achieved after 72 hours. Subsequently, the desorption of these adsorbed ions was investigated. The results of this study indicate that theapplication of metallurgical waste as a sorbent is highly effective for the treatment of wastewater.

Abstract: Melon is one of the main horticultural products that are harvested in Mexico and is a sourceof employment and an important income for farmers in the country. Melon is in great demand in thejuice and pulp industry and nowadays it is a current task to develop technologies for the use ofprocessed seeds from melons. The objective of the present investigation is to determine the yield of15 minerals and the composition of fatty acids present in melon seeds in order to add value to thisresidue. Some polyphenols were also determined in order to verify their possible intake to reducecertain health problems. Allergies and lactose intolerances have increased in recent years andtherefore there has been a growing demand for alternatives. By taking advantage of the melon seeds,we sought to create a drink made of melon seeds as a substitute for milk. After performing severalexperiments in the lab, it was demonstrated that melon seeds contain high amounts of linoleic acid, asubstance that regulates hormone production, improves neuronal function, strengthens the immunesystem and reduces cholesterol, thus preventing certain cardiac problems.

Abstract: Nowadays there is a significant increase in the consumption of vegetables and fruits, due toall the therapeutic properties that have been associated with them, some of these fruits and vegetablesare consumed in processed form [1]. During the process, byproducts such as husks and seeds aregenerated, which are usually difficult to handle waste since they have a high organic load and carryan additional cost for their treatment [2]. Proteins, carbohydrates, bioactive substances, essential oils, are some of the compounds that can be found in this type of waste [3-6]. The subproduct mentionedcan be used as raw material for obtaining other products of high value for consumption. The objectiveof the present investigation was to determine the concentration of various minerals, fatty acids, resveratrol and phytosterols present in the avocado seed in order to add value to this residue. Afterconducting all these experiments in the laboratory, it was shown that the avocado seed containsresveratrol and other components that help improve glucose and cholesterol levels. An avocado seedsupplement was obtained that has been tested with rabbits for the moment.
