Synthesis, Optical and Electrochemical Properties of Cu Phtalocyanine (CuPc) Prepared from Microwave Irradiation

Article Preview

Abstract:

Activated Cu phtalocyanine, using metal exchanged montmorillonite clay called Maghnite-Cu (Mag-Cu) as an effective catalyst, the rapid synthesis of Cu phtalocyanine was prepared from microwave irradiation. The effect of amount of catalyst and time on the cyclotetramerization output of the polymers was studied. The effect of time on the polymerization output of the polymers was studied. The formation of conducting and electroactive form of the Cu phtalocyanine was confirmed through UVvis, IR, and cyclic voltammetry.
