Effect of Gd2O3/BaF2 Addition on Dielectric Behavior and Energy Storage Properties of Strontium Barium Niobate Glass-Ceramics
Abstract:
SrO–BaO–Nb2O5–B2O3 system glass-ceramics with Gd2O3/BaF2 addition have been prepared by controlled crystallization method. The effect of Gd2O3/BaF2 addition on the phase evolution, dielectric properties and energy storage properties has been investigated. The addition of Gd2O3/BaF2 to the glass-ceramics changes the dielectric property and energy storage density. The glass-ceramics with 0.5 mol% Gd2O3 and 4.5mol% BaF2 heat treated at 850°C/3h possesses a dielectric constant of 125, a breakdown strength of 1055 kV/mm and energy storage density of 6.16J/cm3, which are promising materials for high energy storage density dielectrics.
