Abstract: Vast part of environment pollution is caused by the lubricants. Lubricants are mostly of mineral origin. They are toxic and not easily biodegradable. Transition to biodegradable oils involves several technical issues. During the operation of machines and equipment wear occurs due to formation of particles that pollute the lubricant fillings. Cleanliness of the oils in lubrication systems is an important prerequisite for maintaining the operating conditions of machines and equipment. The aim of this article is to evaluate distribution of wear particles of tested transmission oil samples via automatic laser particle counter and classifier LaserNet Fines-C which is highly accurate and a fully automated tribotechnical diagnostics device.

Abstract: The paper deals with comparison and verification of two standard methods for measuring the total acid number of used oils. This is a tribodiagnostic method used to the detection of important quality parameters of oils in service, which determine the degradation of oil filling. This significantly affects the life cycle of oil and, consequently, the lubrication system. The methods for measuring aircraft motor and insulating oils are compared. The method procedures, preparation titration solutions, solvents, through the use of the test sample and electrodes to the accuracy of the measurement on the sample oils are compared. It compares the process of preparation methods of titrating solution, solvents, samples and fills through the use of electrodes to the accuracy of the measurement on the sample oils. From measurements of the samples accuracy and validity of both methods using statistical processing of measurement results is calculated. It utilizes internal control of measurements by means of an internal standard and also inter-laboratory comparison of measurement results.

Abstract: Technological parameters affecting the surface quality of cutting edges in production system with the AWJ technology include cutting head movement speed. The article examines and evaluates the quality of processed surface by the AWJ technology on selected materials as related to the change of cutting head movement speed. It was discovered that the movement speed for the AWJ technology has a significant effect on the surface quality

Abstract: This article describes an experiment aimed at monitoring of the oil condition and machine wear mode used in hydraulic system of handling line Baljer & Zembrod by Tribotechnical diagnostics methods. The experiment lasted for one year, five oil sample were taken during this period and evaluated their qualitative properties. By oil analysis were evaluated the physical-chemical analysis: viscosity at 40 °C, water content and Total Acid Number. This oil analysis further includes FTIR analysis for monitoring of degradation products in oil; monitoring of oil contamination for determine the level of contamination and number of wear particles using with laser particle analyser and atomic emission spectroscopy for elemental analysis. Increased of oil contamination and increased content of wear metals as iron, chromium and copper were detected only in the 5th oil sample. Other monitored parameters were situated within the required tolerance at all time of the experiment. Based on the results of the oil analysis and for increased of thermal oxidative degradation products of the oil detected by FTIR analysis we recommend that the oil should be cleaning using with electrostatic filters when hydraulic oil will be exchanged.

Abstract: The Article deals with usability and advantages of embedded vision systems for surface error detection and usability of advanced algorithms, technics and methods from machine learning and artificial intelligence for error classification in machine vision systems. We provide experiments with following classification algorithms: Support Vector Machines (SVM), Random Threes, Gradient Boosted Threes, K-Nearest Neighbor and Normal Bayes Classifier. Next comparison experiment was conducted with multilayer perceptron (MLP), because currently it is very popular for classification in the field of artificial intelligence. These classification approaches are compared by precision, reliability, speed of teaching and algorithm implementation difficulty.

Abstract: Unplanned outage of extensive transport and handling equipment used between main stages of the production process has magnified negative effect on logistics of the entire company. Article introduces information about examining and assessing the level of wear of working oil charge in an extensive hydraulic system of device used for the transport and processing of wood raw material between the woodworking line aggregates. The decisive role in preventing the listed unsolicited situation has respecting the early tribodiagnostic signal through the analytical ferrography. Completion of this particle analysis by information complex from other appropriately selected diagnostic methodologies will be essential for the trend analysis of wear regime of system oil charge creation. The analysis is also a key predictive information about state of degradation of internal contact surfaces of the examined machinery.

Abstract: For understanding and describing the materials behaviour during phase transformations, dilatometer measurements are commonly used in the scientific community. Generally, standard CCT diagrams are generated by means of dilatometer experiments. However, in many cases, real weld cycles are more suitable for studying the materials behaviour instead of using CCT diagrams. In this regard we talk about so-called in-situ diagrams. In this work, two different devices have been used to obtain CCT as well as in-situ diagrams of a low alloyed steel 10GN2MFA. The goal was to compare the results obtained on the one hand by using a widely used standard dilatometer (Bähr DIL-805A/D) and on the other hand by the usage of a thermomechanical simulator called Gleeble®3800. The paper should finally show advantages as well as disadvantages of using different devices and to keep in mind that the optimal measurement method depends on different parameters. Realized experiments also have revealed the range of operational and diagnostic potential of used devices.

Abstract: Differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) is the most frequently used method from thermal analysis to characterize plastics and which can be applied not only in the R&D but also in the industrial praxis as input and output control. This paper deals with the most important DSC application which arises from results of applied and contractual research at Technical university of Liberec. In the paper are introduced examples of its utilization for plastics identification and characterization, for analysis influence of plastics processing process parameters on their quality, to describe crystallization kinetics and so on.

Abstract: This paper presents amethod for evaluatingthe innovation of enterprisesusing quantitative measures. It is applicable to detailedstudies in the process of forecasting and is an instrument for assessing individual companies. Itprovides knowledge that is useful for making“maps of innovation”and devising strategic plans for the development of states and regions. Enterprise innovation is assessed within two coupled functional groups ─ technologicaland intellectual─using a six-level scale. The results of evaluation are presented graphically with a structure called the“map of innovation.” This structure, as a measure of the intensity of various forms of innovative activities, is determined in each functional group.
