Extraction and Analysis of the Surfactants in a Detergent by Combined Chemical and Instrumental Approaches

Article Preview

Abstract:

Surfactants are widely used in industrial products, such as daily chemicals, light industry etc., and it’s very important to separate and analyze the surfactants for development and quality control for those industrial products. In this study, separation and analysis of the surfactants in a detergent were carried out by combined chemical and instrumental approaches systematically. The results indicate that LAS (Linear Alkylbenzene Sulphate) and AES (Alcohol Ether Sulphate) surfactants are identified in the target detergent. This study will supply a practical methodology which can separate and analyze the surfactants in industrial products exactly.
