Article Preview

Abstract:

Wooden claddings are often being used as a façade layout in recent times. However, there are many possible problems with this construction, either aesthetic or even functional. A drawback is that they might be revealed after longer time period, when it comes to a serious issue. These problems are mainly caused by impropriate mounting of the support structure, impropriate dilatation not respecting various material properties etc. In this article, an example of such problematic cladding mounting on a façade of two-floor family house is presented. Wooden cladding of this house is uneven, cracked, particular planks have different shades, they are not parallel etc.
