Abstract: The purpose of this work was to study and carry out glass etching of monocrystalline silicon using the Bosch method, acquaintance with the conditions of aspect-independent etching. The Bosch process was conducted using sulfur hexafluorideSF6 and perfluorocyclobutaneC4F8on OxfordInstrumentsPlasmaPro®Estrelas100. It was found that in order to level the problems that arise, it is necessary to vary the temporal relations of etching and passivation stages.

Abstract: In this paper, an investigation of tribological properties of 3D printed samples with various filling is performed. The samples are made of biodegradable and non-toxic polylactic acid (PLA) that could be used for medical purposes as well as for rapid prototyping. The sample's properties, such as friction coefficient and temperature in contact area are defined by using the universal friction machine.

Abstract: The article substantiates consistent patterns of wear at the example of microcutting materials in sliding bearings in dependence to grain sizes of abrasive cloths and hardness of bearing layers received with the use of vibroacoustic diagnostics and the method of artificial bases (MAB) in testing on the SMC-2 frictional machine. These patterns can be helpful for the assessment of quality and selection of materials for products [1,2], selection of the friction model [3], and selection of abrasive cloths for the diagnostics of the latter and assessment of the running-in period for the top coating.

Abstract: The paper presents the results of comparative tribological tests of diamond-like inserts. Methods of tribological tests on different tribological units are described. The results showed that a higher content of polycrystalline diamond in the insert improves the anti-wear and anti-friction properties of the composite.

Abstract: Methods of the optical metallography, TEM, SEM-technique, tests for hardness and wear resistance are used to investigated the structural - phase transformation in metal blanks from alloy VT23 at cutting treatment in an interval of speeds 2...120 m/min are given. The patterns of interaction of dynamic plastic deformation and destructions on macro-, meso-, micro-and nanolevels are determined. It is shown that the formation in metal blank of modulated high-tensile secondary nanostructures promotes a heightening of a protective wearproofity of treated metal blank, but cutting edge, lowering a wearproofity, of the cutting tool.

Abstract: The paper presents studies of the Vickers hardness of various areas of steel friction surfaces, on which normal and adhesive types of wear were observed after the process of friction in the environment of the lubricant of various grades. Implemented a comparison of the friction surface hardness with the original surface. It is shown that the hardness varies in the process of friction and has different values depending on the lubricating medium and the type of wear.

Abstract: This paper describes the existing methods for determining the corrosion-erosion wear of materials, and describes a technique developed to assess the stability of oilfield pipes for corrosion-abrasive wear. The results of comparative tests on this method of steels 13HFA and St20 are presented.

Abstract: In this article, with the help of modern methods of mechanics of a deformable body and the means of computer mathematics, the simulation of contact interaction of gears was performed. For contacting profiles outlined on the involute, the solution of the planar problem was implemented by using the ANSYS Workbench program. This paper compares gears with different tooth profile angles and considers the difference in the use of elastic and inelastic material in gearing. The obtained stress results are compared with results obtained by the AGMA standard. In conclusion, the results are shown in the comparative table.

Abstract: The paper presents the results of the study of the friction of the spherical ball made of steel SHKH15 on the flat surface of the prism of steel R6M5. It has been established that as a result of the friction of the rotation according to the “ball-plane” scheme, at a steady wear mode, the torque of the friction of the rotation also becomes steady. It is shown that the change in the friction torque of the rotation from the load does not fit within the limits of one linear dependence, similar to G. Amonton's law. Semi-empirical models of friction rotation are given.
