Efficiency-Reinforcement Design Study for Elastomeric Hydraulic Reciprocating Seal Based on Function Analysis

Article Preview

Abstract:

The efficiency-reinforcement design framework for hydraulic reciprocating seal is proposed, and the function attributes analysis model for reciprocating seal system is built. Through analyzing the components, functions and attributes of elastomeric hydraulic reciprocating seal system, the attributes that influence seal efficiency-reinforcement are identified. By eliminating the function attributes that lead to seal leakage and seal failure, and/or by improving the function attributes that are insufficient in seal, the efficiency-reinforcement design concept can be obtained. A new seal efficiency-reinforcement design solution is also present using this method.
