This book contains articles based on research results presented at the 5th International Conference on Sustainable Engineering Techniques (ICSET 2024, 11-12 December 2024, Baghdad, Iraq), and encompasses a wide array of topics, including the synthesis and characterisation of advanced materials and the thermal and mechanical performance of new engineering materials. The topics align with the associated fields of materials science, engineering, and physics, in addition to covering areas such as nanotechnology, mechanics of materials, and the development of eco-friendly engineering solutions.

The 2025 Annual International Conference Actual Problems of Engineering Mechanics (11th APEM) was the 11th meeting in this series. The conference was organised by the Odessa State Academy of Civil Engineering and Architecture (Ukraine, Odesa). Colleagues from the National University of Civil Defence of Ukraine, the Slovak University of Technology (Slovakia), RWTH Aachen University (Germany), the University of Sannio (Italy), the Polytechnic University of Valencia (Spain), and the Warsaw University of Technology (Poland) were involved as partners in the conference. The conference was held in an online format due to the war in Ukraine, and it aroused great interest. The scientific program of the conference included plenary and sectional reports in the following areas: structural materials and composites, building materials, modelling of load-resistant structures, and computational research in construction.

This compilation of papers includes the proceedings from two distinguished conferences: the 8th International Conference on Nanoscience and Technology (ICNST 2025, Chiang Mai, Thailand, from July 2 to 5, 2025) and the 9th International Conference on Materials Sciences and Nanomaterials (ICMSN 2025, Oxford, United Kingdom, from July 8 to 11, 2025). The collected articles will be beneficial for specialists in nanomaterials, engineering materials, environmental engineering, electronics and related technologies across various industrial branches.

The edition contains peer-reviewed papers presented at the 12th International Conference on Materials Science (ICMS 2024), held in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, on October 1-3, 2024. The conference's main objective was to bring together scientists from around the world working in the field of materials science to exchange ideas, discuss recent research advancements in this area, and provide a platform for future scientific cooperation. This edition focuses on studying the structure, properties, and applications of new materials, as well as methods of materials characterisation.

The book includes articles based on research results presented at the International Scientific Applied Conference "Problems of Emergency Situations" (May 14, 2025, Kharkiv, Ukraine). The purpose of the conference was to discuss issues related to the problems and prospects of introducing the latest developments and technologies aimed at preventing emergencies or eliminating or mitigating their consequences.

This publication comprises the selected papers presented at the 15th International Conference “Innovative Technology for Joining Advanced Materials” (TIMA 24), held in Timișoara, Romania, in a hybrid manner, with face-to-face sessions at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering from Politehnica University Timișoara and online, on November 7-8, 2024. This book contains selected contributions presented at the 16th international conference “Contribution of Metallography to Production Problem Solutions” (16th ICMPPS) held on 4 – 6 September 2024 in Mariánské Lázně, Czech Republic. The conference focused on the application of metallography in industrial practice, specifically for solving production problems, elucidating premature failure of machine components and constructions during service, breakdowns, or accidents. In addition, some results of new research projects which could improve manufacturing technology or the quality of machine products are presented.
