This book presents selected peer-reviewed contributions from the international conference Metallography; Fractography 2025, held in April 2025 in the High Tatra Mountains, the Slovak Republic. The conference aims to provide a forum for discussing recent advances in metallography, fractography, and materials science and engineering. The book covers traditional metallic materials, as well as modern and advanced materials and related technologies. Emphasis is placed on experimental methods, microstructural characterisation, and analysis of the relationship between processing, structure, and properties. We are delighted to introduce the peer-reviewed proceedings of the 8th International Scientific Conference on Advanced Engineering Technologies (ISC-AET 2025), which was organised by Basrah Engineering Technical College (BETC) at Southern Technical University (STU) in collaboration with Iraq University College (IUC) from 18th to 20th November 2025. The main topics considered include advanced polymer and composite materials; wastewater treatment and waste recycling; some advancements in chemical engineering; civil engineering technologies and materials; thermal engineering and aerodynamic design practice; and mechatronics and control advancements.
