Diagnostics of Scoring in Gears

Abstract:

In the paper, the scoring phenomenon appearing on the surfaces of meshing teeth and the conditions of its initiation are presented. The methodology of detection of this phenomenon is proposed. Based on the formulated methodology, it is possible to determine the condition of a gear by means of the reliability function.
