A novel numerical model for simulating fracturing process of the heterogeneous materials such as rock or rocklike material has been developed and implemented in the FLAC, which is the numerical code for the engineering mechanics analysis.
Moreover, the behaviour of rock or rocklike materials and the growth of cracks or microcracks in rock or rocklike materials are strongly influenced by this heterogeneous microstructure.
FLAC, produced by Itasca Consulting Group [11] is a well-known numerical software in the geomechanics field and engineering mechanics.
This provides an easy way to enhance the program and hence solve complex problems in engineering mechanics.

The engineering experience or patent content is always represented through a case.
To change the structure of the rotor is a direction of the engineering team.
As shown in Table 1, the accelerated speeds of the stone materials are contrasted with different channel shapes and corresponding motor speed.
The data show the channel shapes with a curvilinear characteristic can give the most advantage for accelerating the stone materials.

However, to reduce the product development cycle and minimize the number of costly hardware builds, hardware testing must rely on engineering analysis and upfront simulation in the design cycle.
The typical materials for lightness of weight are high-tension steel sheets, plastic, etc. [2, 3].
Key-life test [9] A Fundamental Experiment We executed a tension test to obtain data in the elasticity and plasticity regions of PPF 213-59 TY1=SO-5208, PC-ABS MS214-04=NS-5000, and ABS MS225-18 TY5=XR-474, which are the typical plastic materials used in this study.
As mentioned earlier, the materials used are four types of plastic material (PPF, PC-ABS, ABS, and TPO) and five types of steel material (SPHC, SPCC, STK500, SPFC590, and SECC).

Electrostatic stresses are a fascinating field where materials science, continuum mechanics and electrical engineering all come together.
This treatment of electrostatic Maxwell stresses is restricted to the macroscopic description of the phenomenon, but an attempt is made to provide readers with methods and results which will allow them to deal with cases of low material symmetry, as well as with the effect of viscoelasticity upon the material response.
Non-standard orientation of the material sample is studied in detail, because it is commonly encountered in laboratory practice, or is intentionally chosen so as to optimize a given device.
A key advantage of the analysis presented in this book is seen in the fact that it permits the materials scientist who is planning experiments, or the technician who is designing novel electromechanical actuators, to predict the electrostatic stresses in terms of material constants.

Application Research Development of Smart Materials on Personnel Armor Protective Materials Jun Liu1, a *, Dang-sheng Xiong 2,b and Bin Li1,c 1The 3rd Department of Suqian College, Suqian 223800, China 2 Department of Materials Science and Engineering, NUST, Nanjing 210094, China a xingzhitianxia@163.com, bxiongds@163.com, clibinnfg6@sina.com Keywords: smart materials; ER; MR; STFs; armor protective materials Abstract.
Now armor protective materials understudied can be made into new adaptive materials by introduction of foresaid fluid.
MRFs can offer solutions to many engineering challenges, whose finding traces back to 1940s earlier than that of ERFs; but only recent decades they reattract attentions of research staff and obtain quickly development.
Among these technologies the key to obtain bullet resistance is a novel use of electrorheological materials.

Materials for Devices Applications in Life Sciences G.
The unprecedented technology advancements in miniaturizing integrated circuits, and the resulting plethora of sophisticated, low cost electronic devices demonstrate the impact that micro/nano scale engineering can have when applied only to the area of electrical and computer engineering.
The integrated life chip technology requires the integration of multiple materials, phenomena, technologies, and functions at micro/nano scales.
In addition, we will examine how to modify microfabrication techniques and innovate process conditions for depositing, patterning, and measuring these materials.
Technologies for performing automated, high-throughput protein crystallization screening, and strategies for rational control of protein crystal growth are key engineering challenges for structural genomics and for structural biology in general.
