Last year the BSR produced over 15 700 Web of Science indexed (ISI) nano-articles that counted almost 14% from the world number [18].
One of the trends in nanotechnologies development in Latvia concerned to material sciences is obtaining of the functional nanomaterials and new composite nanomaterials [24, 25].
In 2013 50 habilitated doctors and over 300 doctors carried the research in material sciences in Latvia.

Vibration tapping is capable to tap the deep and small hole in difficult-to-machine materials.
And if the thread holes are small and deep, the tapping process becomes difficult, especially for difficult-to-machine materials such as titanium alloys.
