Stability Analysis of Stiffened Plates Based on State-Vector Equation Yanli Wang 1, a, Guanghui Qing 2, b 1,2Aviation Engineering College, Civil Aviation University of China, Tianjin 300300 awangylah@126.com, bqingluke@126.com Keywords: State-vector equation, Plate with stiffeners, Stability, Finite element method Abstract.
Introduction Stiffened plate/shell structures have been widely used in engineering like aerospace, ship, drilling rig, bridge and civil architecture, etc. due to the distinct property that they can greatly economize the material used in the structure and reduce the weight of the structure while provide sufficient reliability and serviceability and thus improve the structural economy and efficiency.
The most common methods for analyzing the stability(buckling) of stiffened plate structures can be categorized into analytical methods and numerical methods, the former of which include method of intersecting beam system, orthotropic plate method, theory of beam-column and theory of discrete beam, etc. while the latter, being widely used in engineering, include finite element method and finite difference method.
