Surface properties of K9 glass/diamond materials were controlled under the optical brittle material by cold plasma assisted cutting machining.
Cold plasma jet can regulate and control the K9 glass/diamond materials surface property and improve anti-friction effect.
During the process, the cold plasma materials have many favorable processing properties.
There has nothing about high temperature thermal damage on the surface of the material or reduction the mechanical properties of materials.
This approach can increase critical cutting depth, and enlarge cutting material plastic domain thereby to prolong brittle fracture of materials.
