Metal oxides play an important role in many areas of chemistry, physics, and material science.
The advantages of using PLD for fabrication of metal oxide thin films and nanostructures are the reproducibility of the chemical composition of the target material as well as the ease of controlling the crystal structure, degree of orientation, and stoichiometry of the grown materials.
