Although a wide array of methods for producing vegan leather exist in the textile and fashion field, combining the rigour of material science with design methodology could be more convincing in moving materials away from basic research and towards industrial applications to demonstrate their functional properties of materials.

Basically there are two types of contact materials.
SPS is referred to an advanced technology that is used to prepare and synthesize materials with different properties, like ceramics, composite materials, etc.
New materials such as nanometer blocks, bulk amorphous blocks, multi-dimensioned materials with composite structure and functional gradient are also processed through SPS [4-7].
