The focus of this paper is on the mechanical
properties of nanostructured metals produced by SPD methods.
A great deal of early works on mechanical properties of nanocrystalline materials used the IGC technique [4].
One of the most important factors affecting the tensile ductility of nanostructured metals is the tensile specimen dimensions.
Strain rate is another factor affecting the tensile ductility of ultrafine grained metals.
The mechanical properties (especially ductility) of nanostructured metals are strongly affected by processing methods.

However, titanium alloys are susceptible to stress corrosion cracking in certain aggressive environments, in particular methanol, resulting in considerable decrease in quasi-static tensile and fatigue properties [2, 3].
The presence of sharp corners and notches in structural design further aggravates the loss in mechanical properties of titanium alloys in such aggressive environments.
Additionally, notched tensile specimens by introducing V-notch with a root radius of 0.025 mm in the gage section (stress concentration factor, Kt = 18.65) were also subjected to fatigue testing in air and NaCl environments.
Fractography of samples exemplified the extent of microstructural damage and it was found that irrespective of the environment and the imposed stress concentration factor Kt, specimens failed revealing three distinct zones namely crack initiation, propagation stage and final fracture (Figs.2a, b, c).
Crack initiation occurred at one of the corners of the gage portion, where methanol affected corroded deposits were seen (Fig.4b).

Whereas the requirements to the mechanical properties of the weld increase, the demands on the component safety are becoming increasingly important.
However, expected welding stresses are usually considered by global safety factors in existing standards and technical guidelines.
The chemical composition and mechanical properties are given in Table 1 and Table 2.
Mechanical properties of the test materials (mechanical testing (a), producer test report (b,c)).
A free shrinking test specimen was welded to get a reference for residual stress and weld properties.

Many modifications of PMMA resin have been studied in order to improve the physical and mechanical properties of the material by altering the curing process or by incorporating or coating with additional substances such as fibres, fillers, metal oxides, and hybrid reinforcements.
To overcome this, addition of substances such as silver or titanium nanoparticles has been demonstrated to provide antimicrobial properties for PMMA resin by reducing microbial adhesion [3], but in turn may affect the mechanical properties of the material [4].
Besides, it has been shown that the type and volume of small parts of fillers in the structure of PMMA resins would affect its water absorption and solubility properties [16, 18].
Many other factors potentially impact the water solubility properties of resin, including filler concentration, mean particle size, surface area of the filler particles, coupling agent, and the type of particles themselves [18].

The fastness properties ranged from fair to good, while washing fastness was poor level.
Different factors affecting the dyeing ability were recorded and thoroughly investigated in this experiment.
It is hoped that the data from this article can provide a good insight into the UV protection properties of clothing made from silk fabric dyed with lac dye.
Evaluation of colour fastness properties The colour fastness to washing, light, and rubbing and water of the dyed samples was determined according to ISO standard test methods.
It was concluded that silk fabrics dyed with powdered lac dye with metal mordants (AlK(SO4)2, CuSO4, FeSO4 and SnCl2) have “very good to excellent UV protection” properties.

Physicochemical Properties of Asbestos Asbestos is the generic name for a range of six natural minerals, which have simple and low cost mining, rocks found open pit and wide use in industry.
However, should not be disregarded some of the motivating factors in favor of banishment, beyond the fight for good occupational conditions, public health and environmental sustainability, are related to compensation and monopolization in the synthetic fiber market. [6] [7] In countries where there is predominance of one of the groups, it is possible to establish a public policy.
The PP fiber, although has satisfactory properties, presented many variations in the results, because it affects the water absorption and porosity. [10] The research until then carried out only within the university, began to have support from a textile company (Radicifibras).
Given some properties of PVA fiber, a new study was conducted in order to optimize the spinning and stretching steps and to select resins to achieve mechanical strength properties and proper viscosity under fusion conditions.

Proper control of these factors is vital to prevent the defects of centrifugal pouring.
The control of pouring temperature 1 preheating of steel shell Because of the differences of alloy elements and plate on the properties, it is difficult for us to put them together strongly.
A layer of borax sticking to the steel shell flow down quickly, or generate the boride affecting the adhesion, when the temperature of borax is too high.
Summary The factors that affect the quality of the centrifugal casting for copper-lead bearing are complex, some defects may be caused by single or multiple reasons, it needs long time to master in the production practice, some reasons are still controversial.
Influencing factors analyses on babbit pouring quality and improving counter measure.

Abstract: Numerous literatures have suggested that the use of natural fiber as filler can improve the mechanical properties of a polymer composite.
Introduction Composite material provides greater mechanical performances, physical properties and chemical properties than of its constituent materials separately and are define as combination of matrix and reinforcement phases on a macroscopic level [1].
From literature, factors such as fiber aspect ratio, dispersion, compatibility between the filler and matrix, and the molecular weight of the polymer matrix are all important aspects in defining the tensile performance of the composites [12], the loading of the filler also plays a crucial factor.

Only a few studies consider the physical, mechanical and biogeochemical properties of soils of anthropogenic origin formed on dumps.
The parent rock is a crucial factor controlling the properties of technozems [19].
There is a dirt road between the man-made overburden embankment and fertile land, which is an additional factor affecting the quality of black soil.
Therefore, their content in the soil mass significantly affects the properties and level of soil fertility.
