Abstract.
In order to improve and complete the understanding about the in-plane shear behavior of thermoplastic composite materials in their forming processes, the thermo-mechanical analysis of PPS/carbon and PEEK/carbon commingled fabrics at different forming temperatures are performed by using the bias-extension tests.

PREFACE
The XXI International Materials Research Congress (IMRC) was held in Cancun Mexico from 12
to 17 August 2012.
It was organized by the Mexican Materials Society (MMS).
This Special Volume of Materials Science Forum is the results of the contribution of the participants to the Symposium 2D "Structural and Chemical Characterization of Metals Alloys and Compounds".
This event is intended to be a forum for the dissemination of research results on materials science which provided an excellent opportunity for materials scientists around the world to have a common platform to exchange their findings and to discuss developments and to start collaborating at the national and international level.
Finally, we would like to thank all the authors for their contributions to the journal.

The TCO materials are depended on band energy gaps as corresponding to the region of visible light in the range of 1.59 eV to 3.26 eV.
Recently, the TCO materials in p-type conducting [4–6] are interesting to discover new compounds.
The aim of this paper, therefore, is to investigate the optical properties of Cu1-xPtxFe1-xSnxO2 compound for p-type TCO materials.
Totally, the Cu0.95Pt0.05Fe0.97Sn0.03O2 compund displays a materials of the p-type transparent conducting oxide (as p-type TCO).
