It is imperative for 3D modeling of mining or underground engineering to precisely and efficiently describe various interfaces, which is also the precondition for 3D visualization of underground engineering.
By using spatial topological relation between NURBS surfaces of other structures, geometrical description of 3D modeling of complex geological structures, open-pit mining (or underground engineering) and underground tunnels can be realized.

Methods for Crack Prevention of Large Volume Concrete Foundation of High-rise Building Guo Jinjun1,a and WANG Wei2,b∗ 1 Department of Civil Engineering, Luoyang Institute of Science and Technology, Luoyang 471023, China 2 Department of Civil Engineering, Shaoxing University, Shaoxing 312000, China a gjjcivil@yahoo.cn, bwellsking.wang@gmail.com Keywords: crack prevention; concrete foundation; high-rise building; control methods Abstract.
Crack prevention of high-rise building foundation is an interesting and difficult issue to engineers.
Introduction In building engineering, large volume concrete is referred to the concrete either with minimum section size greater than 80 cm or with maximum temperature difference between internal and the surface greater than 25℃ induced by cement hydration heat during concrete consolidation, and high-rise building foundations are main components of large volume concrete.

Geotechnical engineering software For calculating settlement geotechnics usually use engineering methods described in the regulatory literature: SNiP[1] and SP [2](Russian norms), Eurocode[3] (EU norms) and standards of other countries.Calculations of buildings settlement are alsocan be done with use ofnumerical methods (software).Manysoftware products, such as«Plaxis», «Ansys», «Abaqus», «Fem-Models», are developed to studythe stress-strain state of grounds.
Engineering calculations results of final settlement of the western wingwere made using different methods: 1) 360 mmbySNIP 2.02.01-83* [1]; 2) 301 mm bySP 22.13330.2011[2]; 3) 358 mm by method Egorova [1]; 4) 371mm by Eurocode 7 [3].
Results of engineering calculations show thatcurrent standards of engineering calculation methods underestimate the final settlement on more than 10%.

A satisfactory component optimisation and a manufacturing specific design of the components presupposes, however, the integration of design, computation, and manufacturing knowledge into a single system using modern CA technologies to realise simultaneous engineering.
This is why such products are being used more and more in various fields of traffic engineering, e.g. in automotive and railway construction (Fig 1).
Other further advanced application fields can be found in civil engineering, in mechanical and apparatus engineering, in material handling technology, in lifting and convoying systems as well as in multipurpose applications.
The programme is commonly used in civil engineering for analyses of three dimensional framework or spaceframe constructions.
The forth sub-module data evaluation is an entry point for knowledge-based engineering.
