TEM micrograms depicts different size one dimensional nanofibric tubes of the supramolecular structures of PANI.
This signifies that PANI structure is retained in the PANI/Ag NPs electrode nanocomposite despite some slight shifts in some of the bands.

The movement of the basal reflection of MMT to lower angle indicated the formation of exfoliated structure, while the d001 peak at 3-5° broadening and intensity decreased most likely indicated the formation of exfoliated structure and partly intercalated structure.
However, it was difficult for XRD to give definitive conclusions about the defined structure.
At lower MMT content (1wt%, Fig. 2a and 3wt%, Fig. 2b), the MMT showed the exfoliated structures.
With the increasing of MMT (5wt% Fig. 2c), the MMT clearly showed exfoliated structure and partly intercalated structure, and with occasional flocculation.
XRD and TEM results indicated the formation of an exfoliated structure of ST-CS/MMT nanocomposites at lower MMT content (1wt% and 3wt%), with the increasing of MMT (5wt%), the MMT clearly showed exfoliated structure and partly intercalated structure.

The results showed that the amount of solvent played a decisive role for the formation of ordered pore structure.
However, this process can result in a collapse of the pore structure.
This peak was due to the pore structure of the high degree of regularity arising from Bragg reflection.

Changes of compositions and pore structures at ITZ and the elements distribution across ITZ were analyzed by SEM and SEM-BSE.

It is difficult to convert this poorly crystalline materials to a more highly crystalline structure upon application of a heat treatment at higher temperatures.
However, the formation of an imperfect crystal structure at low temperatures appears to be detrimental to the formation of a relatively defect-free structure when a heat treatment at higher temperatures is applied.
This could be related to the trapping of organic species in the crystal structure, when crystallization occurs before complete removal of these species.
A highly crystalline anatase structure was formed when the titania was maintained in the amorphous state until a heat treatment at 450°C was applied; this highly crystalline structure was achieved with a heat treatment of only five minutes.

This result indicates that the crystalline structure of tapioca starch was destructed after ultrasonic treatment.
The crystalline structure was then transformed into amorphous structure in which the ultrasonically treated tapioca starches showed more amorphous structure than heat-treated tapioca starches.
