Tunnel traffic accidents investigation.
By communicating with maintenance departments of tunnel, and analyzing information about traffic accident, traffic accidents in tunnel show following rules: (1) Related with traffic capacity.
The influence of road surface sliding resistance is important for traffic safety, with decrease of concrete road surface sliding resistance, the accident occurring frequency increase quickly, the relationship between sliding resistance and traffic accident frequency is shown in Fig 7 Fig.7 Relationship between accident frequency and sideway force coefficient Using condition analysis on tunnel transition pavement structure.
Because cement concrete pavement has high strength, water resistant, long life, non-flammable characteristics and so on, it’s used popularly as tunnel pavement in domestic and international highway and urban road construction.
