Producing SF powder and polymer hybrids is a highly promising method, combining bio-function of natural macromolecules with controllable structure and properties of synthetic polymers [2,3].
However, owing to the different surface chemistries between SF powder and PU, their interfacial bonding is very weak.
This might be due to the denser structure of plasma-treated sample in which SF powder had a larger surface area and could be combined with PU more tightly.
The improved compliance of plasma-treated sample could be attributed to its enhanced waterproof structure.

Hexagonal disilicide and tetragonal disilicide crystal structures of the material are determined as C40 (β-MoSi2) and C11b (α-MoSi2) respectively.
These methods are; making a protective SiO2 coating on the material and increasing the relative density of MoSi2 in the structure [11].
Conclusion A new material consisting of MoSi2 reinforced with long whisker shaped Si3N4 particles was developed with the assistance of alloying chemistry and controlled consolidation method.

Characterization The phase purity and crystal structure of the obtained samples were examined by X-ray diffraction (XRD) using D8 Advance X-ray diffraction (Bruker axs company, Germany) equipped with Cu-KR radiation (λ) 1.5406 (Å), employing a scanning rate of 0.02° s–1 in the 2θ range from 10 to 80°.

The process gives rise to an ordered state arranged typically in spherical, cylindrical (hexagonal), lamellar or bicontinuous double-diamond structures.
Considering that the dimensions of the ordered structures or domains and the distances between them are actually of few tens of nanometers (or hundred of Ångströms in the language of 30-40 years ago), these systems are currently defined as self-assembled nanostructures.
Transmission Electron Microscopy results (not shown) are conclusive, showing a set of PS cylinders (hexagonal structure) which are oriented in the direction of flow in the microphotographs taken from samples frozen immediately after flow.

Soft chemistry processes such as sol–gel and co-precipitation methods [8, 9] have been introduced to synthesize the CMR oxides as these methods maintain the metal precursors in a highly dispersed state, and hence favor more homogenous powders at relatively low temperatures.
The XRD revealed single-phase patterns with no detected impurity peaks for both the samples and the patterns could be indexed with the orthorhombic perovskite structure with space group Pbnm.
It is obvious that MR values of nano-structured samples (NCMO & NBMO) will be higher compare to the bulk samples due to enhanced spin-polarized tunneling through the increased number of grain boundaries in nano-structured materials.
