Introduction
The fluid viscous damper was firstly applied in various kinds of fields in the 1950s, such as the military industry, machinery, aviation, etc. in the late 1980s, Americans began to do research and experiments, then used them in civil engineering.

Introduction
The civil engineering structures sometimes undergo inelastic deformation and damage under strong earthquakes.
The stainless steel reinforced concrete with excellent resistance against corrosion have been widely used in civil engineering especially in bridge engineering and offshore engineering in Unite State, Europe and Japan in recent years [1, 2].
The numerical simulation by using the Open System for Earthquake Engineering Simulation is helpful to study for the seismic behavior of the stainless steel reinforced concrete columns.
