Muneharu et al. [3] discussed vibration suppression of forced vibration by a wave-absorption control for a lump torsional system.
A nonlinear elastomeric damper or absorber was used to control the torsional vibrations of the crankshaft in internal combustion engines, when subjected to both external and parametric excitation torques by El-Bassiouny [4].
Ostman et al. [5] investigated an active vibration control of the crankshaft in the reciprocating engines by utilizing the measured angular speeds of the crankshaft system.

El-Tawil et al. [5] developed a model to describe the static and fatigue behaviour of RC beams strengthened with carbon FRP (CFRP) laminates.
