In an attempt to produce a half-Heusler thermoelectric materials having ultra fine grain structures, ZrCoSb was synthesized by mechanical alloying of stoichiometric elemental powder compositions, and consolidated by vacuum hot pressing.
Introduction A new class of compounds with half-Heusler structure has been considered as good candidates for higher performance thermoelectric conversion [1-2], since the structure was first found [3].
Candidates in this structure for the investigation would be the combination of (Ti/Zr/Hf)(Co/Ni/Pt)(Sb/Sn/Bi) [4-6].
ZrCoSb belongs to a half-Heusler structure and it is expected to be a promising thermoelectric material having relatively high figure of merit value, especially for power generation [4-6].
Doping on this system was found to be effective in electrical property enhancement via band structure forming, and the substitution on the Zr, Co and /or Sb sites were shown to be decrease in thermal conductivity via point defect phonon scattering [5-7].

Hence, controlling the phase and crystal structure of NbN is important for many applications.
The propert ies of NbN films are strongly affected by their composition and crystal structure [2,9,10].
The films grown at room temperature and 250 oC showed poor crystalline structures.
The AFM image for this condition reveals better crystalline structure and more uniform size distribution.

Structures of the geopolymer are chains of -Si-O-Al-O- [1-2,10].
Investigation on the formation of alumina-silicate networks in geopolymer structures is really difficult and complicated.
Therefore, there is only a few researchers have chosen this method for evaluation of the structure of the geopolymer.
That indicated that most of silica in SF was reacted and the geopolymeric structures are in amorphous phases.

Results and Discussion The results of SEM observation (Figure 1) showed that there are visible differences in the structure among the three prepared films.
The film formed with mixed solution of kelp and PA with the ratio of 1% kelp suspension to 5% PA solution as 9׃1 (Film2) appeared superimposed layering structure with less pores and gaps.
The film formed with mixed solution of kelp and PA with the ratio of 1% kelp suspension to 5% PA solution as 3׃1 (Film3) appeared the densest structure with less pores and gaps.

As the formation of hydrogen bonds in the structure of the film, the amide A band was shifted towards higher wave numbers after modification.
This may be interpreted as a result of the formation of the hydrogen bonds in the recovering helical structure.
The amide II band is generally considered to be much more sensitive to hydration than to secondary structure change [8].

In view of polyhydroquinoline containing similarities in structure to the biologically important compound, 1,4-dihydropyridine, their antihypertensive activities were herein determined in spontaneously hypertensive rats (SHRs) during different time.
In view of those compounds 1-3 (Fig. 1) containing the similar structure of nitrendipine, which is a dihydropyridine calcium channel blocker used in the treatment of primary hypertension to decrease blood pressure.

The results show that the densification of as-prepared h-BN ceramic can be contributed to the addition of sintering-aids and the formation of card-house structure.
The card- house structure in Fig. 4(a) is more uniform than Fig. 4(b), resulting in a lower porosity and a higher strength.
This is because the addition of 10wt% sintering aids limits the expansion of BN layer, which is good for unifying the structure.
And the sample sintered at 1850℃ has a better card-house structure.
