The deficiency of bond capacity of traditional cement mortar was exposed as the new wall materials were used widely.
It produced the adverse effects on construction quality and applications of new wall materials.
Raw Materials.
Therefore, the polymer using in the test could greatly amend the bond behavior between mortars and new wall materials.
Conclusions Compared with traditional wall materials(such as clay brick), the bond strength between new wall materials and mortars were obviously lower.

Smart concrete is a branch of smart materials; its origin can be traced to the cement-based electric materials obtained by combining carbon with cement by soviet scholars in the 1960s.
A factory relative to the smart materials and structures in civil engineering was built on the sustentation of National Nature Science Foundation of USA in 1993.

Preface The volume contains selected peer-reviewed papers presented at the AMS-II 2021 Workshop “Advances in Materials Sciences-2021,” which took place in the framework of the II International Conference on Advances in Materials Science and Technologies - CAMSTech-II 2021 on 29-31 July 2021 in Krasnoyarsk, Russian Federation.
