This information can be used to estimate the possible performance of polymeric materials to certain extent without extra scratch experimental work.
Unfortunately, most polymer materials are soft and vulnerable to scratch damage comparing with metals and ceramics.
On the basis of materials design and scratch test, to maintain certain flexural modulus and tensile yielding stress, many other parameter should be controlled, for example black color pigment M/B, catalyst, MFR(melt flow rate) and so on..
