Enhancements in the absorption range could be accomplished by the use of luminescent materials, for example, chemical dyes, inorganic semiconductor nanoparticles, using up-conversion materials for low frequency photons [7,8] and down convrsion materials for high frequency photons[9,10].

The Shenyang Mantang River Wetland Project that chose withered wetland’s plants as coverage materials has good effect on heat preservation.
The average removal rate of TP, NH3-N and TN achieved respectively 31.4%, 26.5% and 9.6% by coverage materials on the wetlands, which increased by 15.5%, 9.7% and 5.0% compared with non covering materials[29].

On the other hand, the design of new structures might benefit from the advances in the material science and new technologies to develop novel processing technologies to generate competitive wood-based materials fulfilling specific customer requirements.
The information about the materials is provided to the RAW MATERIAL and is processed in order to generate a set (matrix) of variables.
Even if the software was dedicated to surface finishing, it can be also adopted for historical timber structure assessment and engineering of novel wood-based materials for construction.

Photocatalyst materials is a challenging topic because it can be used in an important solution to energy and environmental issues.
The application of these type of materials in Advanced oxidation processes (AOP) is broad as Fujishima summarized for one of the most important photo catalysts [5].
