Synthesis and Characterization of Nanocrystalline ZnO Powders by a Novel Combustion Synthesis Method

Results show that the as-synthesized ZnO powders show well crystalline with hexagonal crystal structure and purity without any other impurities and the particle sizes are about 50~70nm calculated by the Scherrer formula.
Directly using of the propellant chemistry criterion the stoichiometric redox reaction can be expressed as equation (1) and equation (2) [11].
The (002) peak position of ZnO powder are invariability as the ratios of urea to glycine change, as shown in Fig. 4(b), because the as-synthesized powders possess perfect crystal structure without any other impurities.

Structure and composition characterization: the structure and components of membrane were characterized through FEI-SEM (FEI Nova 400 nano SEM,FEI Hong Kong Co., LTD).
The pattern of traditional anodic oxidation membrane(Al2O3)shown in Fig.2.b is a regular pore structure.
The structure of multilayer maybe resulted in the organic polymer entry into membrane during the process of anodic oxidation.
It might be resulted from lower hardness of polymer and multilayer structure of membrane.
