Experimental Study on Multi-Segmented Circular or Non-Circular Pipes to Determine the Pipe Stiffness
Online since: November 2022
Authors: Priyank Upadhyaya, Devanand Chelot
A wide range of civil infrastructure such as decks, storage tanks, bridges, and pipelines are constructed using glass-reinforced plastic (GRP) due to its low weight-to-strength ratio and corrosion resistance properties [2].

Concrete Fire Testing – A Review of the Thermal Boundary Conditions

Concrete Fire Testing The use of standard time-temperature curves and fire testing furnaces are the basis of fire testing of concrete structural elements for regulatory compliance, but also for research and development within the structural fire engineering community.
While from the standpoint of concrete fire behaviour the aim is typically only to calculate the distribution of temperatures inside the solid, energy conservation within the fire-compartment system is critical; although rarely explicitly acknowledged by structural fire engineering researchers and practitioners, who have historically relied on standard fire resistance tests controlled by measuring temperatures inside a furnace.

Proceedings of the 5th International Conference on Structural Engineering, Cape Town, South Africa, 1919-1923
