This may be due to the presence of intercalated nanoclay structures dispersed in PU matrix at low nanoclay content that allows good interfacial adhesion between filler/matrix in which further increased the load transfer efficiency from PU matrix to filler and thus increased in strength [10].

Properties of Hemp Fibres Reinforced PLA Composites

From Fig. 5, one can still conclude that creating a three-layer composite structure manages to increase the proportion of hemp fibres in the composite, but the technology used does not apparently provides sufficient layers bonding, thus both tensile characteristics are lower in comparison to 40 wt% hemp/PLA composite despite the fact that the two outer layers contain only 40 wt% hemp fibres.
At the same time, all three structures are well-bonded to the PLA matrix creating composites with a low deformation (Table 1).

The interface strength of metal - ceramic bonding depends on the residual
