FRP is one of the most popular and widely used materials in this industry during recent years.
Exterior FRP shell elements use the Shell41 membrane element to simulate, this element has the film strength in the plane, but has not bending strength outside the plane, because the FRP materials stress - strain close to the perfectly elastic, so in this article, FRP material is setting an perfectly elastic material, if the stress exceeds the tensile strength of fiber, is that fiber breakage, the calculation to terminate.

Z direction tensile testing indicated that tensile fracture occurred in basal materials, i.e. strength and contraction of cross area are those of basal materials.
The fracture occurred in basal materials, indicating that cladding interface has good mechanical property.
