Chromium compounds poison the soil, atmosphere and groundwater, i.e. there is pollution in large areas.
The aim of the work was to develop low-concentration electrolytes for chromium deposition with the addition of organic substances for corrective maintenance of parts.
Micro structure of the chrome plating surface: (a) - at 35-fold magnification; (b) - at 370-fold magnification Conclusion Pulsed electrolysis makes possible to control the composition of the components of chromic alloys, iron coatings and to obtain coatings having desired properties from a single electrolyte.

Introduction At present, building energy conservation in China mainly concentrated in cities, the energy targets and mandatory norm promulgated by government were essentially aimed at urban residential design.
Aluminum alloy could be as strong as steel construction and were easy to install.
It is necessary for aluminum alloy to improve the performance of insulation against the heat transfer.

Through the combination of two or more materials to one compound, for example high-strength steel and aluminum, hybrid massive components can be manufactured, whose properties are specially adapted to the respective application.
The aim of the CRC 1153 at the Leibniz Universität Hannover is to realize a new process chain to produce load-adjusted hybrid solid components by using joined semi-finished workpieces.
It is computed depending on the linear absorption coefficient µ for iron based steel alloys and the Bragg angle θ as well as the inclination angle ψ (eq. 2)
Fig. 3: Comparison of residual stress depth profiles with angle -and energy dispersive measurement method The aim of the CRC 1153 is to measure residual stresses with a depth resolution of 1 mm.

To investigate the adhesion of the padding weld from nickel alloy to the spheroidal cast iron substrate the implant test was used.
Peng Yi et al [4] have studied the laser repairing technology applied on HT250 grey cast iron using Fe-based alloy powders.
Benyounis et al [5] have studied the application of two welding process, laser beam and Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) on nodular cast iron aiming to analyse their influence on the structure and hardness of melted zone.
To determine the chemical composition of samples, the energy dispersive X-ray analyser (EDS) that equips the JOEL scanning electron microscope (SEM), model JSM-6610LA, was used, Identifying various crystalline compounds was performed using PANALYTICAL brand X-ray diffractometer, model X 'PERT PRO, with geometry Bragg-Bretano, in 2θ.

Introduction In recent years, composite materials have been widely used to replace, with advantage, not only steel but even light alloys in the construction of various components and structures such as wind turbine blades, aircraft, automobile, sporting goods, civil and marine structures [1-5].
Glass fibers are used to reinforce plastic matrices to form structural composites and molding compounds [8].
This research is aimed to investigate the impact properties of short glass fibre reinforced epoxy polymer composites.

Research so far has mainly focused on using carefully adjusted matrix alloys or on the use of suitable coatings of the inclusions [1, 2, 3].
For this, the diamonds can be either coated with carbide forming elements like B, Si or Ti, or formation of a strong interface can be conferred by using alloys containing reactive elements like Fe, Ni, Mo, B, Si, Cr etc., the kind of element mainly depends on the used matrix metal.
The simultaneous recording of the isotope m44 (CO2), m28 (CO or N2), m32 (S or O2), m18 (H2O), m15 (organic compounds or CH3) and m12 (C) by mass spectroscopic measurements indicate evolving gases by reactions during heating.

Thus, a research program was initiated at IPEN aimed at investigating the possible causes of the poor sintering behavior of UO2-Gd2O3 fuel prepared by the dry mechanical blending method.
These are based on changing certain fabrication procedures, as follows: a) activity optimization of the UO2 powder used in the preparation of UO2-Gd2O3 mixed powder, which can be achieved by adjusting the conditions for AUC reduction; b) sintering cycle optimization by adjusting the heating rate, temperature and duration of the isothermal sintering step; c) adjustment in the homogenization procedure of the UO2 and Gd2O3 powders aimed at obtaining a mixture presenting a high level of homogeneity.
Additional work is required, aimed at determining ways that guarantee good homogeneity in the suspension and filtration processes, possibly by using some type of dispersant.
