Residual strength of stiffened panels with widespread fatigue damage was evaluated by an engineering approach and a finite element method respectively.
The predictions are in good agreement with the experiment results and it is shown the methods could be used in an engineering practice for the residual strength evaluation with the acceptable accuracy.
Introduction The damage tolerance design concept has been widely used in the advanced aircraft structure design.
So it is very important to develop an efficient engineering method to predict the stress intensity factor for widespread fatigue damage.

Most of the current studies focus on the transport of contaminants by engineered nanoparticles (ENPs) in regular porous media because of the potential environmental risk associated with enhanced migration rates of contaminants due to the mutual interactions of the nanoparticles [1, 7,8] .
The main advances of this study compared with previous one are the new detailed NTA analysis and the combination of NPTiO2 and NPSiO2 interactions with a natural soil, which is used in the controlled landfill layer.

Referring to the advanced experience from abroad, it can be argued that establishing an appropriate building energy-saving technology evaluation index system is an effective way to solve market failure in towns and villages housing market.
However, the construction of towns and villages energy-saving housing is a complex system engineering, which involves the feasibility of the project, the advancement and economics of energy-saving technology, energy detection, energy management and so on.
The international advanced experience.
The towns and villages energy-saving housing is a systems engineering with the advanced technology as a necessary condition for building energy-saving design.
