Introduction The Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), an important branch of fluid mechanics, obtains the flow field information by solving the continuous and momentum equations of fluid.
In this study, based on the CFD technology, the model of the aerobic tank of the step-feed A/O process was built.
Gambit software was applied to the meshing of the models and the grid independence was tested before the simulation.
Influence of the aeration on the sludge distribution at horizonal planes (a) surface layer; (b) middle layer; (c) bottom layer (Left for the simulation without aeration and right for the simulation with aeration) Conclusions The wastewater-sludge flow and the aeration process were simulated by the two-phase model and the discrete phase model.

Computational Fluid Dynamics CFD, based on a finite volume method, is completed by utilizing the standard k-ε turbulence model.
In the present research, the simulations are performed using the commercial software ANSYS version 16.1.
It is found that the 126561-grid element is convenient for the CFD (less deviation).
The simulations are conducted to study the velocity and pressure distribution using three different twist ratios (y\w = 0.6, 0.7, and 1).

Using ANSYS-FLOTRAN CFD software, the finite element simulation is conducted by a series of procedures, such as two-dimensional model building of fluidic gyroscope, meshing, loads applying and equation solving.
In this paper, we use the FLOTRAN CFD analysis of ANSYS software to comparative study in the different position of vice nozzle, so as to attempt to find a better distance between vice nozzle and main nozzle which can improve the sensitivity of fluidic gyroscope.

For an axial flow maglev blood pump, based on CFD, using k-ε model, unstructured mesh, establishing the whole flow channel model, a three-dimensional numerical simulation of axial flow maglev blood pump was carried.
Simulation results show that: the port clearance ratio δ=0.75, the flow channel gap h = 2.5mm, blade height b = 1.8mm, the optimal performance was attained.
Three-dimensional numerical analysis was performed by commercial CFD software ANSYS FLUENT.
(3) Though analyzing CFD results, the structure of blood pump was designed.
