SPD processed materials exhibit very high mechanical strength [10-11] which can not be achieved using conventional techniques of materials fabrication and thus are prospective for structural and functional applications.
Materials and Methods The materials used in the present study were 2017 and 43300 aluminium alloys.
The materials in initial state had the form of 20 mm rods.

CaCO3 and ZrO2 were used as starting materials for CaZrO3 (CZ) seeds synthesized by the molten-salt method.
With the recent growing demand of global environmental protection, there is an urgent need to develop lead-free materials to replace the lead-based materials [1-3].
Moreover, it is well known that the materials used as seed can be prepared by sol-gel and molten-salt method [9-11].

A porous medium is a material that consists of interconnected voids while permeability is the measure of the ease with which a fluid can move through a porous medium as porosity otherwise called void fraction measures the degree of material being porous to flow, the ratio of the volume of all pores in a material to the volume of the whole.
