It should be noted that R does not take into account the thermal properties of the material, which can have a substantial effect on ψ.
The main physical properties of the materials under investigation are listed in Table 1.
Summary of the physical properties of both dense bars and cordierite foams.
It must be realised that a change in cell size or density can lead to significant changes in the microstructure of struts, the number of closed-cell windows present and so on, and these factors can strongly influence the mechanical properties and the thermal shock resistance of ceramic foams.

The diffusion layer of such an interface, will on one hand, increase the property of the composite material, and on the other hand, cause some deterioration of properties.
Such composite material needs to have not only good composite strength, but also good electrical conductivity and mechanical properties.
However, the diffusion heat treatment will cause the diffusion layer to appear, and it has a multiple copper aluminum inter-metallic compounds, that will affect the strength of binding and the electrical property [4].
Study on cold-rolling of aluminum-coated magnesium composite plates and the properties of interface[D].
Influence of deformation processing on mechanical and conductivity properties of Cu-Fe composites.

In the past few years there is a considerable interest in the study and application of the mullite, due to its chemical, physical and mechanical properties, in which are correlated with the synthesis method used.
Aiming to achieve better structural and morphological properties, many synthesis methods are being studied, in which the Pechini method is highlighted, which is today one of the most viable methods and successful technique used in the preparation of nanosized materials.
It has excellent properties, such as: low thermal expansion(20/200°C= 4 x 10-6 K-1),high thermal stability, low density (3,17 g/cm3), low thermal conductivity (k = 2,0Wm-1K-1),good mechanical strength and creep resistance, good stability in harsh chemical environments, among others [3,4].
The ceramic properties of mullite depends, on the other hand, mainly, of the composition, the purity of the reagents, the homogeneous mixture of substances that will react to form the mullite and the synthesis process used.
In this sense, many synthesis methods are being studied in order to achieve better structural and morphological properties, such as: reactive sintering of powders of alumina and silica [5], Sol-gel process [6], co-precipitation [7], hydrothermal processes [8] and chemical vapor depositionprocesses [9].

During CT-scans, heating inside the cabinet and varying environmental conditions may affect the position of the focal spot and distort the manipulator system, leading to relative displacement of X-ray projections and distortions in the reconstructed 3D image.
The turntable was positioned as close as possible to the X-ray tube resulting in a magnification factor of m = 13.6.
Extraction of the circumferential line from the reconstructed volume To investigate the geometrical properties of the extracted circumferential line, an integrated graphical analysis [8,9] was carried out.

They allow optimization of the product after fractionated factorial experiments in which count in addition to the desired response functions and their unwanted variability due to noise affecting the operation of the product.
Use a performance indicator compound called S / N ratio [4, 5], with which we can identify combinations of operating parameters that must be mastered and which prove the most insensitive to noise factors.
The signal/noise ratio shows additive property that the sum of the effects of factors is equal to the combined effect.
And also has the property that maximize the performance index coincides with minimizing loss of quality.
For the four factors we choose each 3 levels for each parameter.

Thermal stress is often an important factor in welding crack formation, and it is caused by strain aging embrittlement of the heat source.
Heat transfer is brought about by welding, metallurgy, and the mechanical complexity of the process.
The simulated parameters of the materials’ physical properties are listed in Table 1.
Thus, the performance of these joints is substantially affected.
The results from the joint analysis of tensile mechanical properties and those from numerical simulation showed a combination of solid joint conditions, which are usually in the vicinity of the weld fracture specimen as shown in Fig. 7.

Experimental study of the Ginger-stone soil’s engineering properties According to undesirable phenomena appeared in the construction process of Ginger-stone soil, granule analysis test, compaction test, CBR test and rising of capillary water test have been done on samples with different content of Ginger-stone soil.
Through the analysis of test data, the main influencing factors have been confirmed, which has significant meaning for the engineering practice[1-4].
With increases of Ginger-stone content, the hump in the cave moves left, it indicates that the content of Ginger-stone is the main factor affects the maximum dry density and optimum water content of Ginger-stone soil.
Experimental study for improvement measures of Ginger-stone soil In order to achieve the requirements of improving the engineering properties of Ginger-stone soil and the economy of the improvement measures, we propose to take improvement measures by adding lime and fly ash (mass ratio is 1:3) to Ginger-stone soil according to the engineering experience.
Blending lime and fly ash(mass ratio of 1:3) to the Jiang-stone soil can obviously improve its physical and mechanical properties.

The microstructure is one of the factor concerning to cold cracking problem.
The first application is the tracking the microstructural change along various thermal cycle simulating heat affected zone.
These factors contribute to fine microstructure formation.
Thus, to secure good mechanical properties in the weld metal, it is important to understand the mechanism of intragranular acicular ferrite formation.
And it is expected that the acicular ferrite is formed in the heat-affected zone.

These cracks are the most fatal factors that affect the mechanical properties of bi-metal products.
The mechanical properties of the material containing plate like crack are bad.
It was found that the samples with curved interface have better mechanical properties.
And T6 heat treatment was found improved the mechanical properties very much.
It results in a very much increase of the mechanical properties of the bi-metal part.

However the properties of Mo2FeB2/TiB2 multiphase ceramic coatings by RTS and APS technology are still unknown.
Because of short spraying time, the low flow rate and flame temperature, these factors show an important effect on the quality of thermal spray coating [9].
The properties of coatings can significantly affect by these defects such as higher porosity and crack etc.
These microcracks and pores can affect the corrosion properties of coatings in such a way that the corrosive media can reach the substrate and degrades [12].
