In this paper, our several trials to control grain
boundary structure and chemistry ceramics in modern high-performance oxide will briefly be
introduced.
The control of grain boundary structure or grain boundary chemistry from the view point of ionic bonding state or even of grain boundary quantum structure analysis may be an effective way to design high-performance ceramics in the near future [6].
A very microscopic analysis of grain boundary structure and chemistry is effective to make clear the intergranular failure in superplastic TZP [24].

Close relationships between these individual springs have been witnessed by their approximate major cation chemistries, which provoke the idea of geochemical provinces.
Mahaoya spring is found in a synformal structure where the main rock type in the area is augen gneiss.
Fig. 2 shows major cation chemistries of thermal spring which are obtained by the geochemical survey carried out by the same group in 2012.
