The development of new hardmetals during the past 10 years has focused strongly on fine, ultrafine and nano-structured materials.

Structure can be read as made of two phases (titanium carbide and nickel).
From the nanopowders with rather defective structure (Fig. 2a) can be easily fabricated alloys with normal structure (Fig. 2b) if the SPS method and the developed device are applied.

Selective laser melting (SLM), developed within current years, has the advantages of producing metal parts with complex structures, and can be used to manufacture complex structures of any kind theoretically.
A new method of making porous complicated metal structures via SLM is put forward.
Owing to not only its remarkable physical and mechanical properties but double attributions of function and structure, porous metal is widely employed in aviation, unclear energy, medicine, environmental protection, metallurgy, mechanic, architecture, electrical chemistry and petrol chemical industry.
Only pores structures and parts density were connected with laser energy input parameters in early investigations.
Pores of different amount and structures generate through the interaction of these information factors (figure 2).

Ribbon structure was investigated using the back-scattered X-ray diffraction (XRD) method (Cu Kα radiation, λ = 1.5418 Å).
The structure of the as-quenched alloy was confirmed to be amorphous, as follows from the diffraction pattern marked as “0”.
The as-quenched alloy has a smooth and uniform structure that resembles the structure of a liquid.

It can be observed that the coating surface with the micrometer scale papilla-like structures, globular particles and nano scale villiform structures are rather rough, the rough coating structures are very similar to the micrometer structures of the lotus leaves and play a crucial role in the generation of superhydrophobicity on copper substrates.
It can be seen that when the voltage is low, only few uniform papilla-like structures are constructed on the surface, and when the voltage increases to 15V, the micrometer scale papilla-like structures, globular particles and nano-scale villiform structures are formed.
These structures change little when the voltage increased over 15V.
All the diffraction peaks in this pattern can be well indexed to a cubic structure of Ni phase.

The effect of hydrothermal time on the structure of ZnO formed can be observed from the XRD intensity.
The results showed that all ZnO nanorods had hexagonal wurtzite structures and were randomly oriented.
The XRD spectra of the rGO/ZnO nanorods composite show that the composite still maintained the morphological structure of ZnO nanorods.

The geothermal springs are divided into two types: the natural outcrop type and the hidden artificial type of heat reservoir, the former of which is controlled by piedmont faulted, extending EW; while the latter of which is controlled by regional structure and geothermal field.
Jing-Jin-Tang-Qin area has special geological structure and geographic environment, and is situated to the south of Yanshan tectonic zone under whose control the geothermal springs extend NW.
