Experimental Study on Solar Cooker Using Phase Change Materials B.Kanimozhi1, a,*, Kumar Sanandharya2,b Sumit Anand3, c, Sandeep Kumar4.d 1Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Sathyabama University, Chennai-119.India 2, 3 Students - Sathyabama University Chennai-119.India akanihwre@yahoo.com,csumeetanadhijack@gmail.com,dsanbecki@gmail.com Key word: solar cooker, coconut oil, concentrating lens, phase change materials.
S.D Sharma and K Sagara [8] has done cooking experiment using Evacuated Tube Solar Cooker (ETSC) with PCM storage unit and it is found that phase change materials(PCMs) are more effective.
Prabhu P.A et al. [10] has done research and studied various phase change materials found it appropriate for thermal energy application.
Phase Change Materials PCM can be stored large amount heat in smaller volume in size.
