As fatigue tests under the IP cycling, tensile stress occurs at high temperature, where the cohesive strength of the grain boundary is low, so the occurrence of negative mean stress is reasonable.

At low laser fluence the formation of C2 molecules is due to the collision of electrons with clusters of higher numbers of carbon atoms, whereas at higher fluence, excitation resulting from electron-ion and ion-ion recombination is responsible for C2 swan band emissions [12].

Although, a number of papers [1-9] are dealing with the methods of determination of size and shape of plastic zone, many questions regarding its internal structure, shape and ways of evolution, still require attention.
The distances from these places to the microcrack tips were measured, and subsequently the polished surfaces were chemically etched in order to reveal austenite grains.
Moreover, taking into account all the above, the shape of plastic zone will alter depending on crystallography (slip and twinning) of the considered area of grain; mainly in polycrystalline materials.

From the FESEM images, it is evident that the MWCNTs evenly distribute on the alumina grains, and the length of MWCNTs is not more than 2 micrometers, which results from acid pickling and ultrasonic treatment for the MWCNTs.
There are a large number of pores in the composites, and the addition of MWCNTs will inevitably result in an increase in porosity and also inhibit the alumina grains growth during sintering.
