The structure of compound 1a was confirmed by NMR, 1H NMR (400 MHz, CDCl3, TMS): δ0.65(s, 3H), 2.07(s, 3H), 7.21-7.31 (m, 2H), 7.42-7.45(m, 2H), 7.81(s, 1H), 9.88(s, 1H). 13C NMR (400 MHz, CDCl3, TMS): 13.36, 22.02, 29.56, 32.91, 111.23, 11980, 123.80, 125.28, 136.27, 141.85, 154.25, 155.94, 158.43, 182.04.

The structure of compound diarylethene 1a was characterized by 1H NMR spectroscopy. 1H NMR (400 MHz, CDCl3, TMS): δ 1.93 (s, 3H, –CH3), 2.30 (s, 3H, –CH3), 6.96 (t, 1H, thiophene–H), 7.11 (d, 1H, Ar–H, J = 8.0 Hz), 7.29 (t, 3H, Ar–H, J = 8.0 Hz), 7.34 (m, 2H, Ar–H, J = 8.0 Hz), 7.56 (d, 1H, Ar–H, J = 8.0 Hz), 7.75 (d, 1H, Ar–H, J = 8.0 Hz).
