Initially, the papers from “fatigue” have been searched in the domain of Materials Science, Materials Engineering, Physics and Mechanics published in the period of 1995 to 2014.
It can be seen that majority of these papers were published in research journal titled “Fatigue and Fracture of Engineering Materials and Structures”.
The remaining 32% of the top 50 VHCF papers were published in Materials Science and Engineering A, Scripta Materilia, Acta Materialia etc.
It was found that VHCF papers were published in two major journals of fatigue named as “International Journal of Fatigue” and “Fatigue and Fracture of Engineering Materials and Structures”.
Bathias, There is no infinite fatigue life in metallic materials.
