The IR spectrum of chitosan showed peaks at 1152, 1078, 1022 (related to the C–O stretching vibration) and 897 cm–1 assigned to the saccharide structure, and a strong characteristic amino peak at around 3400, 1654 and 1325 cm–1, assigned to amide I and II bands, respectively.

These methods have been used widely for spectroscopy in such areas as biology, food and polymer chemistry, and here for the first time we applied those for SiC analysis.

Abstract.

While after a given period of time, the conversion at a higher SO2 concentration is higher and the formed product layer has a thicker structure, which results in greater diffusional resistance to the reactant gas and a low conversion rate.
