A reduction of ductility down
to δ=11% associated with the increase in strength of the material is within the limits set by the
property requirements on the end unit.
According to recent data provided by the Czech colleagues, over 600 surgeries have been performed, among them 98.3% were successful (as compared to 75-80% in traditional dental surgery) [8].
General Motors Corp., Ford Motor Co., DaimlerChrysler AG jointly with leading aluminum manufacturers plan to focus on investigations aimed at vehicle weight reduction.
The transition from laboratory samples to semi-products and products from nanostructured Ti materials is a complex issue, as it needs new technological processes to solve a range of tasks connected with increase of produced samples' geometry, cost reduction of nanostructuring processes, provision of the technology's high productivity and ensuring stable mechanical properties.

In principle, this reduction of MS has been traditionally attributed to the
existence of a dead magnetic layer at the interface.
A clear reduction of the thicknes of this non-magnetic layer is observed (from ≈6 nm for the as-grown film to less than 1 nm for the annealed ones).
This result reflects the strong reduction of the non-magnetic layer in annealed samples (>0.5 nm) and indicates that, as expected, not only magnetic but also transport properties are strongly improved in annealed samples.
The conduction mechanism exhibits the typical features of a tunneling process and the barrier thickness, derived from fitting of the experimental data by using the Simmons theory, is in very good agreement with estimates of the non-magnetic layer derived from magnetic measurements.

It is reasonable to anticipate that the reduction of the crystallite size down to nanometric dimensions can significantly improve the diffusion of hydrogen atoms.
The value of the average coherent crystallite size (D) obtained for the Mg2Ni compound phase characterizing the HEBM powder (D=15 nm) and the as-pressed billet (D=18) nm is in line with literature data [21] (Fig. 3a).
The evolution of the average crystallite size during the ECAP process, on the other hand, is less complex, i.e. only a moderate crystallite size reduction is noticed in Fig. 3b (D=13 nm for ECAP 6x).
Convolutional whole profile fitting analysis of the X-ray diffractograms revealed that ECAP deformation of the powders results in a moderate crystallite size reduction (D=13 nm), while CR results in an intermediate recrystallization (up to D=37 nm) followed by subsequent nanocrystallization.

Section 3 contains the main characteristics of the methodology and the development of the elements with their respective Lean tools, as well as a brief compilation of data and metrics for the analysis carried out with the respective analysis tools.
The application of work standardization is facilitated with the VSM tool, a quality management tool that allows identifying processes by opening up opportunities for improvement and waste reduction [22].
Kaizen is a methodology that encompasses procedures for continuous improvement, providing qualitative and quantitative benefits for any manufacturing company, including time and cost savings through a reduction in inventory costs, and improving manufacturing processes [25].
Significant improvements were observed in the following metrics after implementing the model: Current production process efficiency increased from 33.8% to 38.7%, indicating a reduction in operational waste and improved profitability.

The most important feature of a STEM instrument is its versatility: atomic resolution images, nano-beam diffraction patterns and spectroscopy data can be obtained either simultaneously or sequentially from the same region of the specimen [13].

A substantial reduction in the initial grain size to the submicrometer level could be easily attained by equal-channel angular pressing (ECAP) [2,3].
At present, there is limited data of the effect of extensive cold working on superplasticity of Al-Mg-Sc alloys with UFG structure.
These plates, having a thickness of ~10 mm, were rolled at ambient temperature with a total reduction of ~90% up to a final thickness of ~ 1.1 mm.

Next, the billets were warm rolled with a reduction of 70% at an initial temperature of 280°C, followed by recrystallization annealing at 520°C in air for 2 h.
(ii) Next, the alloy was cold rolled with a reduction of 80%, followed by recrystallization annealing at 490°C in air for 1 h.
The average density of lattice dislocations was estimated by counting individual dislocations in the grain interiors per unit area on at least six arbitrarily selected typical TEM images for each data point.
An increase in temperature or a decrease in strain rate results in decreasing flow stress and a reduction in initial work hardening; strain, at which the maxim flow stresses are attained, shifts toward higher strains (Fig. 4a).

This can lead to the creation of electrically conductive materials with a minimum consumption of conductive additives, which prevents significant reduction in mechanical performance, caused by eccessive additive volumes [16].
The use of long-fiber chrysotile leads to the destruction of the fibers and reduction of their length.
This determined the reduction of electrical resistance of the fluorohydrite matrix, gauged by sodium phosphate.
Conclusions The obtained data shows that presence of calcium nitrate in the pore solution increases the electrical conductivity of the fluorohydrite composition.

The evident advantage is the significant weight reduction.
Certain improvement could be reached by size reduction of the tiles Fig. 9 and 10.
It has been proved that the combination with technical ceramics can provide significant price reduction in comparison to armour steel while maintaining the same areal weight.
