At present, the application of chrysotile asbestos tailings and rock forming serpentine is roughly same, mainly concentrated in following several aspects: (1) recycling short asbestos fiber for product that asbestos quality request is not high (asbestos cement products, heavy-duty brake shoe, asphalt products, bonding material, etc.); (2) According to certain proportion was made for baking-free brick by fly ash, etc; (3)to develop building materials; (4) to make magnesia porcelain ingredients.
Hu Zhangwen [6] studied on the process of the purification of raw magnesium sulfate from the sulfuric acid leaching filtrate of serpentine, then used the purified magnesium and aqueous ammonia as raw materials to prepare nanometer magnesium hydroxide.
