High surface hardness materials are necessary in many applications such as cam or ring gears, bearings or shafts, turbine applications, and automotive components [2].

Reactive powder concrete (RPC) can be produced from ordinary materials (cement, very fine aggregate "0.15-0.6" mm, low water-cement ratio), in addition to other materials (Silica Fume, Superplasticiser, steel fibers) [2, 7].
Material Properties The materials in present study are reactive powder concrete and smeared reinforcement which is represented by steel fibers.
The reactive powder concret is produced from ordinary materials (cement, very fine aggregate, low water-cement ratio) , as well as to additional materials (Silica Fume, Superplasticiser) to be the maximum particle size of materials is 0.6 mm.
