They found that the PEDOT phase with surfactant shows a network structure of nanofibril while the PEDOT phase without surfactant shows the typical aggregation of nanosized granules.

They investigated the conformation of PEDOT by Raman spectroscopy and obtained the resonant structure of PEDOT chain turned from a benzoid to a quinoid structure.
